In fact it could have been the second volume, but did not fit the narrative and overall length.

The subtitle is irrational as the title of the chapter II. It just came to us, akin to "False Flesh" or "Mercury(al) Moon".

All we can say is that there are multiple candles in the darkness, casting reflections in mirrors that build corridors or maybe the entire worlds, calm and empty. All that could have happened has already occurred and now contemplates its own existence and symbols.
